Sford is
a ‘Not-for-profit’, ‘Educational & Social Organisation’; registered under the Rajasthan Society Registration Act, 1958 vide no. 247/Jodhpur/2002.
- imparting education in rural area since 2002 at 'Sford Campus' – 25 km from Jodhpur City in Village Peshawas, Tehsil Luni, District Jodhpur, Western Rajasthan, INDIA;
- running its activities free of charge because the rural families are short of resources to pay for education and they are unaware of the importance of education especially for the girl child. We give priority in admission to the children of the landless farmers; the semi-orphans; the adolescent girls & the school dropouts. |

Sford Academy is the main unit of the 'Sford'. It runs the following educational activities at Sford Campus : |

| 1. Formal Education : We impart formal education upto Upper Primary Level. We also offer subject-wise coaching to the rural boys & girls for higher studies at Sford Campus. |
| |
| 2.Informal Education : To educate the rural boys & girls in an informal way, we are running 12 Study Centers twice a week in the nearby villages from Sford Campus. Presently approx. 360 rural boys & girls are participating regularly. We also organise the residential camps for overall personality development at Sford campus. |
| |
| 3. Vocational Education : To make the rural boys and girls employable, we provide training of Computer, Typing, Chalk making and Soap making at Sford Campus. |
| |
| 4. Cow-care & Agri Education : We are running Gau-shaala to demonstrate that Gau-Paalan can become an economic venture. We also implementing Agricultural Activities to keep the literate-rural-mass attached to their roots. |

| |
- 456 Boys and 214 Girls associated through educational activities since 2002.
- Got the registrations under
- the Rajasthan Educational Institution Rules, 1993 vide no. 323/Jodhpur/2004 as English Medium Upper Primary School.
- the Income-tax Act, 1961 vide no. CIT-II/Ju/9/41/385/22.5.8/1.4.08 to 31.3.11.
- 36 persons got employment directly & approx. 200 persons got Employment indirectly.
- 4,863 Sqft. furnished building for educational activities.
- Library with approx. 3,000 Books. |
