SFORD Parents Happy Home (SPARSH) :

The Background :
The social transformation has lead to a situation where old-age care and meaningful engagement of the aging parents have become the need of the society. The response to this need has started coming in the form of 'old age houses' and 'old age creches' but the willing acceptance from the old-age people is not being seen. The reasons are many and varied; and probably this response has snatched their parenthood and designated them to be an 'old-aged person' waiting for their call to come from the heaven.

The disintegration of the joint family system is a "Compulsive-Situational-Outcome"; this is a fact of life whether we like it or not but it has set in, and is spreading fast.  It is not the exclusive outcome of changing social values only but it is the result of many factors.

The society will have to learn to respond to this new challenge; the aging people will have to change their thinking pattern and attitude - post retirement age is not the old age but its a new phase needing new set of objectives and engagements in life to raise above self and dedicate the rest for a family to be created by establishing the new emotional bonds with those, among whom aging people are left to live by the life : may be they are human beings or other creations of the Almighty.

The Concept :

The "SFORD Parents' Happy-Home" (SPARSH) is the out come of the analysis of the present response and resistance of the old age people towards the old-age houses. The 'SPARSH' is an integral part of the 'SFORD Movement' offering numerous options for anybody and everybody to find a place and purposive meaningful engagement of his/her own choice. It is therefore we call it a family of like minded people to contribute as best as and as much as everybody can and be assured to get guarantee for needed care and concern.

The 'SPARSH' is a new concept of family where family members are not linked with biologically but are sure to get a satisfaction of giving the best and be assured to get the best, being a parent.
No human being can live without a family and the biological families are at risk of being disintegrated per-force. It is therefore, we thought it proper to give birth a 'new family concept' where all such people who feel that they are in need of a family care and concern should come and become the part of the 'SPARSH'.

The Essentials :

The essential of each and every project is its financial viability. The fixed cost of constructing building and creating necessary facilities will be met out through donations (memorial or otherwise), aid (governmental or institutional) and loans (personal and institutional).

The recurring cost (boarding, lodging, medical care, etc.) will be met out of "Operating Expenditure Fund". This fund will be created with the help of contributions from the children of the participating parents. Honorarium for the services rendered by the participating parents will be credited in this fund.

The SPARSH will raise term deposits from the participating parents and philanthropic public with an instruction to transfer interest earned on the same to the "Operating Expenditure Fund". The principal amount of the deposit will be settled as per depositors' instructions.

Our Appeal :

Please intimate us your opinion. We would be glad to welcome you and your spouse after knowing your willingness and post retirement plan. Join and live with us for sometime and then pick the engagement, which gives you happiness. And please decide your involvement level and duration of time too.

The 'SPARSH' offers you a wonderful opportunity of investing meaning and gaining satisfaction in the life which otherwise, in general, becomes a life phase of miseries for self and obstacle for others around us.
Post-retirement age is not an old-age, at best its an infancy of the old age. You are still left with a fairly enough time to contribute which gives you a satisfaction. Most of us althrough our active service life of various responsibilities (of business, employment or family, etc.) do not get satisfaction of doing what we do or we do not get chance to do which gives us satisfaction. But alas! we hardly are able to engage ourselves meaningfully in the post-retirement phase too.

Do not miss the call coming from the 'SPARSH'.
